Biographical Information About Village Trustee Tom Jordan

  • South Jacksonville, IL Village Trustee Tom Jordan — currently serving his second term — is a proud, lifelong and third generation resident of our small and vibrant community; having always called the Village his home. A graduate of Jacksonville’s Routt Catholic High School and having also earned an Economics and Business degree from Jacksonville’s well-respected Illinois College, he is retired following a successful 37-year career in the foodservice distribution business.
  • Tom and his wife, Peggy, have been married for over 50 years, and are parents of one son, Reginald (wife Angelina) of Orlando, FL, and one daughter, Melissa Kindred (husband Jake) of Rochester, IL; and they are the very proud grandparents of three beautiful granddaughters (Morgan, Maley and Mia Kindred).
  • Tom now enjoys keeping busy in retirement by spending time with loved ones and friends, volunteering for various activities associated with his church (Centenary United Methodist in Jacksonville), serving on the Village’s Board of Trustees, and being a diehard fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and a long-time stock car racing enthusiast.
