World War II Memorial Now Open!

South Jacksonville, September 10th, 2021 — The Traveling World War II Memorial set for Prairie Land Heritage Museum in South Jacksonville is now open!

Village President Broaddus and Treasurer Peters attend the wreath-laying ceremony in

front of the Freedom Wall at Prairie Land Heritage Museum in South Jacksonville.

Each star on the wall behind them represents 100 Americans lost during World War II.

In total, it commemorates the more than 400,000 Americans who gave their lives.
